About Us

PoeticSoul is an organization dedicated to promoting the poetic arts scene and providing lovers of poetry with quality entertainment. The company motto "The Soul Of the City" is exhibited through the passionate essence of our various ventures.

PoeticSoul was founded in 2002 with the initiative of producing spoken word showcases and slam poetry competitions. These events feature talented artists from around the GTA.

In 2004 PoeticSoul launched the PoeticSoul Online Literary Journal. The magazine contains spoken word news and event listings for Toronto's poetry enthusiasts. It also provides accurate and in depth features with spoken word artists, CD/book reviews, and event summaries written with integrity.
